About Stephanie and Her Practice
Stephanie Bifolco is a licensed clinical social worker working in the public and private sectors. She currently works full-time as a psychotherapist for a local county community mental health clinic. As a psychotherapist, her aim is to provide the time and space for clients to understand themselves better so they can live a more fulfilling life. Her other job is teaching yoga and giving private yoga therapy sessions. As a yoga therapist, Stephanie has unique insights into how the body can be utilized to gain more control of experiences in life that are blocking our full potential. The power of yoga to potentiate us towards greater integrity and joy is a gift to us all.
Experience and Qualifications

Stephanie graduated from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City with an MSW in Social Work in 2007 and received her BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2000.

Stephanie has extensive training and experience in treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT), and Focusing. Her treatment philosophy is guided by Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory. She addresses with her clients various challenges such as addictive behaviors, depression and grief, childhood trauma and abuse, ADHD, anxiety disorders, psychosis, parenting problems, marital conflict, how to integrate psychedelic or transpersonal experiences, and more.
Stephanie has spent almost two decades exploring and studying movement, meditation and breath-work as modalities for gaining insight, training the mind and finding joy through embodiment. She has been a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance since 2008 with over 500 hours of instruction under world-renowned teachers in yoga and meditation. She has primarily studied Anusara Yoga, Vipassana Meditation, Insight Meditation, and Katonah Yoga.
Stephanie speaks both English and Spanish.

Special priority is given to maintaining integrity, collaboration and good communication. Stephanie strives to reach a high level of social responsibility in her private practice in order to contribute to a world where safety and wellness are not privileges but rather rights for all people and the planet.
Believing in providing fair and consistent fees for services, Stephanie offers a sliding scale fee to make quality psychotherapeutic services available to communities not traditionally served by private therapeutic practice.
